Exams

  • Available worldwide at: Pearson VUE test centers and OnVUE
  • Scoring method: Answers must be 100% correct for credit. No partial credit is given. There are no deductions for incorrect answers.
  • Type of questions: Multiple choice and multiple select
  • Time required between attempts: 15 days
  • Transcript and certificate: Your Fortinet Training Institute transcript is updated within five business days after you pass the exam. After that, you will be able to download a printable certificate from the Fortinet Training Institute.

To achieve this certification, you must pass the NSE 4 exam and one NSE 5 exam within two years. The certification will be active for two years from the date of the second exam.

You will receive digital badges under the following circumstances:

  • Exam badge: Each time you pass any version of the exam included in FCP in Secure Networking.
  • Certification badge: Once you achieve the requirements for the FCP in Secure Networking certification.

Recertification

  • If your FCP in Secure Networking certification has expired, you must pass the NSE 4 exam and one NSE 5 exam no more than two years apart to renew your certification.
  • While your FCP in Secure Networking certification is still active, you can extend the expiration date by two years from the date you complete one of the following requirements:
    • Pass the NSE 4 exam and one NSE 5 exam from the FCP in Secure Networking before the expiry date.
    • Pass one NSE 6 or the NSE 7 exam from the FCSS in Secure Networking certification track before the expiry date.
  • While your FCP in Secure Networking certification is still active, you can extend the expiration date by three years from the date you achieve or renew the FCX in Cybersecurity certification.
  • Passing the NSE 4 or any NSE 5 exam recertifies your FCF and FCA certifications if they are still active.
