This training session is a one-day instructor-led technical course that introduces the new Cisco Aironet 1500 Series Lightweight Outdoor Mesh Access Point. The course provides a technology overview, design and deployment options, and product configuration with hands on labs.

After completing this course the student should be able to:

• Describe the components, features, and functionality of the Cisco Aironet wireless mesh networking solution.
• Explain the various deployment options for the Cisco Aironet 1500 Series Lightweight Outdoor Mesh Access Point.
• Describe the relevant technical aspects of the Cisco wireless mesh networking solution that effect performance, throughput and distances.
• Describe physical and technical characteristics of the Cisco Aironet 1500 Series.
• Describe factors to be considered during outdoor WLAN deployment.
• Explain RF theory as it relates to Wireless LANs.
• Understand Wireless Network design issues:

Coverage areas Antenna theory and operation Site Survey procedures

• Describe the steps performed during the installation and deployment of outdoor Wireless LANs.
